- Visit the Art Institute and check out the new Modern Wing and Burnham’s Plan for Chicago (#14 – completed 4/22 – but Burnham’s Plan was no longer on exhibit)
- Visit the Aquarium and see the new beluga baby
- See the White House exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry (Missed getting to this one before the exhibit left)
- Stand on the glass shelf at the top of the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower (Adventure #5 – 02-19-10)
- Visit the Planetarium and see at least one sky show
- Visit the Field Museum and be sure to catch The Ancient Americas and The Nature of Diamonds Exhibit
- Take a walking tour in Chicago
- Take a bicycle tour in Chicago
- Enjoy an outdoor concert (Adv. #20; June, 2010)
- Medieval Times adventure
- Explore a new Chicago neighborhood
- Go to the haunted prison at Statesville around Halloween. (Adv. 35: 10/16/10)
- Tour a famous Chicago cemetery. (New Adv. #18: Completed 4/15/10 w/ tour of Graceland Cemetery)
- A photo safari (New Adv. #29: Completed Sept. 2010 in Millennium Park)
Travel-related:
- Take a nightime helicopter tour while in LA this March (Missed opportunity)
- Do something non-basketball related in Indianapolis during the Final Four. (Adv. #13 – completed Easter weekend)
- Have a shot of good tequila while in Mexico (Adv. #10 – Clase Azul Tequila in Playa del Carmen 3/21/10)
- Visit another foreign country
- Parasail (In either 3 or 4) (Adv. #11 – 3/22 in Riviera Maya)
- Enjoy a wine tasting tour (Adv. #19 – June, 2010)
- Visit every named bridge in Iowa Falls (including, of course, Whitesell Bridge). (Adv. #21: July, 2010)
- Visit the end of Route 66 (New Adv #27; Aug 2010)
- Visit the canals of Venice (New Adv #25; Aug 2010)
Learn something new:
Learn to play the piano at least by being able to play everything in my current workbooks.(Adv. #28: year long adventure)- Attend a writing workshop or course. (Adv. #2: Workshop completed 01/11, continuing w/ 6 week class in Mar/Apr)
- Write something I’m proud of.
- Attend a complete course of yoga instruction (Adv. #3: Completed 1/27, but continuing)
- Learn to make raspberry jam using the fruit from our garden. (Too few berries this year :()
- Attend a service of a non-Catholic religion. (Adv. #8: Completed 3/7 – Quaker Service)
- Make Jim’s favorite childhood recipe (New Adv. #16: changed to “Our” favorite CH recipes; completed May and Aug. 2010)
- Drive a manual transmission car with manual brakes and manual steering (New Adv. # 23; Aug 2010)
- Fly a WWII Plane (New Adv. #34)
(Attempt to) Make soy candles(New Adv. #36)
Outdoor Activities
- Ice skate at Millenium Park
- Ride my bike on a new bike trail
- Go apple picking (morphed into a Fall Leaves experience – Adv. #33; 10/2010)
- Ride in a hot air balloon
- Watch a movie at a drive-in (do they still exist?) (Adv. #28: completed 8/28)

- Plan and make a complicated multi-course meal. (Adv. #12: Greek meal for 5 – 3/28/10)
- Get a tattoo (just a baby one)
- Go to the symphony
- Go to the opera
Make Christmas cookies(Adv. 37: Dec. 2010)- Give up TV for one week (Adv. 31; 10/2010)
- Stay off of the computer/iphone for two days (Adve. 32: 10/2010)
- Dine at a five star restaurant
- Trapeze class (New Adv. #4: completed 1/30 – never to do again!)
- Go to a Windy City Rollers roller derby competition. (New Adv. #6: Completed 2/21)
- Enjoy our favorite Chicago band. (New Adv. #24: Aug 2010)

Potential options (you all are very creative with suggestions for MY resolutions – let’s see some of yours!) : whitewater rafting, trying out for The Amazing Race, jet ski, pilot a WWII fighter plane, photo safari.
Anything marked as a “New” adventure was not on the original list of 52.
